Chassis

Full space frame construction, consisting of 87 mtr of tube, 258 joins, 112 brackets, fitted with steel floor panels, tunnel front , rear baulk heads, all held together with 34 mtr of weld.

Bodyshell

Eighteen chassis mounted GRP Kevlar reinforced body panels.

Suspension

Front: Double wishbone system fitted with quick adjustable antidive facility, lower mounted shock absorbers, GM Truck stock uprights and hubs. Fixed rated anti roll bars. Adjustable coil over shock absorbers fitted with 2.25 x 900 lbs springs.

Rear: Four Link rear axle location, chassis mounted watts linkage with adjustable rear anti roll bar. High mounted adjustable coil cover, shock absorbers fitted with 2.25 x 225 lbs springs.

Rear axle

Heavy duty tubed 7.5 Salisbury Ford Truck differential case fitted with 3.75 to 1 crown wheel and pinion with ZF plate drive limited slip unit. Specially designed full floating six stud hubs and heavy-duty shafts.

Steering

The steering uses a 2.4 ratio competition rack mounted to the chassis via aluminium blocks. The column has two heavy-duty joints to align the angle of the wheel to the driver. A quick release hub mounts the fourteen inch steering wheel.

Brakes

Front: 4 pot USA produced Willwood aluminum calipers using a 310mm x 21mm straight veined vent disc.

Rear: Twin pot Willwood aluminum calipers with 243mmx 11mm solid lightweight disc with de-glazing grooves.

Front and rear brake pads are American Oval Racing material specification to suit the Pickup Racing Trucks. Chassis mounted pedal box fitted with .70 and .75 master cylinders, adjustable bias from driving seat position.

Gearbox

Controlled 4 speed dog type selection with 2.04 - 1.54 - 1.21 - 1.1 ratios. Location is by aluminum bellhousing, drive is via 7.25 multi piece clutch and a single one-piece propshaft.

Exhaust

Stainless steel system. Manifolds in a 4.2.1 configuration.

Cooling

Specially designed aluminum radiator with thermo controlled fan assembly.

Wheels / Tyres

8.5 x 15 competition controlled wheel in aluminium fitted with a controlled Avon tyre in slick and wet form.

Engine

All engines are badged as PickupSport engine comprising of 4 cylinder 16 valve unit with maximum 87.53 mm bore 86mm stroke Fitted with modified cylinder head,which in turn is fitted with 33mm inlet valves, 29mm exhaust forged piston and a maximum compression ratio of twelve to one. Steel conrods are used, the rest of the bottom end is stock with the exception of a steel fly wheel. The engine uses a wet sump oil system. Carburation is via twin 48 DCOE with 38mm chokes. The ignition system is a controlled unit by MBE with maximum rev limiter set at 7500, this gives a power out put of 229 BHP with 170 ft / lbs of torque.

Interior

White faced gauges fitted into a carbon fibre dash assembly. Carbon fibre dresses other interior areas. A competition racing seat and 6 point seat belts and additional roll cage padding.
